A Sizzling Summer Nears Its End

Phoenix residents, get ready to breathe a collective sigh of relief—September is just around the corner, and with it comes the long-awaited end to the relentless triple-digit heat. This summer has been one for the books, with a punishing heatwave that gripped the Valley almost all of July, making it one of the most brutal summers in recent memory. The scorching days of 115 degrees have left everyone craving cooler weather, and thankfully, the countdown to relief has begun.

A Glimpse of Cooler Days Ahead

Even though the cooler weather that Valley residents cherish is on the horizon, the National Weather Service warns that the heat isn’t letting go just yet. According to meteorologist Isaac Smith, the high temperatures for Monday and Tuesday are expected to hover around a blistering 110 degrees, with the rest of the week slightly cooler but still toasty at 108 or 109 degrees. Rain chances remain slim, but the thought of what’s to come offers a glimmer of hope.
