A Day Full of Family Fun

Ahwatukee, it’s time to mark your calendars for one of the most anticipated events of the year! The Light Up Ahwatukee Holiday Festival is returning on Saturday, November 23rd, the weekend before Thanksgiving, and this year’s event promises to be bigger and brighter than ever. Formerly known as the Festival of Lights, this cherished tradition brings together our community to kick off the holiday season, all while raising funds for charity and lighting up the Chandler Boulevard medians with festive cheer.

Starting at 10 a.m. and lasting until 11 p.m., the Light Up Ahwatukee Holiday Festival is the perfect way to dive into the holiday spirit. It’s a free, family-friendly event filled with non-stop entertainment and activities, including:

  • Candy Cane Lane: Over 15 inflatables will transform this area into a winter wonderland for the kids, and Santa’s Village will host Santa himself from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. for family photos.
  • Marketplace Street: Shop local! This year’s marketplace will focus on local artisans, offering an amazing holiday arts and crafts shopping experience. Get your unique gifts while supporting small businesses in our community.
  • Food Truck Trail: Satisfy your holiday cravings with delicious bites from some of the Valley’s best food trucks, conveniently located throughout Candy Cane Lane and near the Tavern area.
  • Live Entertainment: From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., enjoy performances by local community groups, and then groove to live music from local bands and a DJ, rocking the stage until 11 p.m. This year’s entertainment lineup is shaping up to be unforgettable!

More Than Just Fun: A Festival with Purpose

Beyond the festivities, the Light Up Ahwatukee event serves a bigger purpose. It raises funds for the holiday lighting along Chandler Boulevard and supports various charitable causes. It’s a celebration that brings joy while giving back to the community.
