Hello Ahwatukee Residents! Stay informed about this weekend’s freeway travel advisories in our area brought to you by ADOT. Here’s what you need to know for smoother travels around our community and beyond:
Closure Alerts:
- Eastbound I-10 Shutdown: From Friday at 10 p.m. until Monday at 4 a.m. (February 16-19), expect the closure of eastbound I-10 between SR 51 and US 60 (Superstition Freeway), including the Broadway Curve interchange. Consider using eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) to southbound Loop 101 as a detour.
- Eastbound US 60 Closure: On Friday from 9 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m. (February 16-19), eastbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) will be closed between Loop 202 (SuperRedTan Interchange) and Crismon Road in east Mesa for pavement improvements. Plan alternate routes such as Baseline Road or Southern Avenue.
Lane Restrictions:
- Northbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) Lane Reduction: Overnight, from Sunday at 9 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m. (February 18-19), northbound Loop 101 will be narrowed to one lane between Guadalupe Road and Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) in Tempe for lane striping work.
- Westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) Lane Reduction: Overnight, from Sunday through Tuesday nights (February 18-20) between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) will be narrowed to one or two lanes between Val Vista Drive and Arizona Avenue for pavement maintenance.
