Everything You Need to Know

Fans of Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) were gearing up for a magical night of timeless hits in downtown Phoenix on Monday, Oct. 21, but the highly anticipated show at Footprint Center has been postponed due to illness within the band.

The concert has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Oct. 29, giving Phoenix fans just a bit longer to catch this legendary act as they continue their Over and Out Tour—a farewell tour for the iconic group.

Statement from Jeff Lynne’s ELO

Live Nation released a statement expressing the band’s deep regret over the postponement:
“Jeff and the band have loved being back on stage and are so sorry to disappoint the fans. They are looking forward to seeing everyone in Phoenix next Tuesday.”

While the news of the postponement might sting, there’s comfort in knowing that Jeff Lynne’s ELO will be back soon, ready to deliver the electrifying show fans have been waiting for. The Over and Out Tour is a bittersweet celebration, marking the farewell of a band whose hits have become part of the soundtrack of multiple generations.

A Legendary Career, An Iconic Farewell

Jeff Lynne first disbanded Electric Light Orchestra in 1986, after a run that produced beloved classics like “Can’t Get It Out of My Head,” “Evil Woman,” “Strange Magic,” “Livin’ Thing,” “Telephone Line,” and the iconic “Mr. Blue Sky.” Fans thought the ELO magic was over, but in 2014, Lynne and keyboardist Richard Tandy reunited for a triumphant return at London’s Hyde Park. The sold-out concert reignited a flame that led to a new era for Jeff Lynne’s ELO, complete with two new albums.

Now, the Over and Out Tour serves as a grand farewell for a band that has made an indelible mark on rock music history.
