Get Ready for High-Energy Fun and Fashion
With a hip-hop throwback theme like “Bust a Move,” Scottsdale Fashion Square is set to host a dynamic Back-to-School Style Event on Saturday, August 3rd. This event promises plenty of high-energy excitement, offering students and families all the inspiration they need to kick off the school year with a bang. The free celebration features fashion shows, style stations, live music, a model search, and much more.
Fashion Shows and Style Stations
The shopping center’s Palm Court will be the hub of all things back-to-school. Fashion shows at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. will showcase this year’s top styles from popular retailers like Macy’s, Tilly’s, Windsor, Levi’s, and Guess. These shows will highlight trends inspired by the vibrant 80s and 90s, ensuring everyone finds something to love.
Style Stations will be set up featuring brands such as Sephora, Macy’s, Lush, Bobbie Marie, and Retail Therapy. These stations offer guests hands-on experiences with products, techniques, and advice to help students look and feel their best as they head back to school.
Entertainment and Activities
The event kicks off with a performance of the “National Anthem” by the Phoenix Boys Choir. Additional musical entertainment, including a live DJ and dance battles, will keep the energy high. Attendees can also explore a photography exhibit by Kids In Focus, a local nonprofit that helps kids develop essential life skills through photography.
Representatives from the American Heart Association will be present to share information about their Healthy Hearts program, promoting active lifestyles among kids and teens.
Model Search and Candytopia
The event is hosted in partnership with the FORD/Robert Black Agency, which will conduct an open call model search for ages 5 to 25 throughout the event on the Lux Balcony. The agency is scouting for all genders, races, and sizes, and no experience is necessary. The model call will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
While visiting Scottsdale Fashion Square, families should also check out the sweet new Candytopia wonderland. This interactive attraction features 11,000 square feet of Instagram-worthy photo opportunities, delectable treats, and unique hand-crafted candy sculptures. Highlights include a confetti room with confetti-farting pigs and a Marshmallow ball pit filled with a quarter-million “marshmallows.” Candytopia is expected to open in late July, adding even more excitement to the back-to-school season.
